SideTouchPrivacy Policy
This policy covers the App Store edition of SideTouch, Current Mac Helper, SideTouch Legacy Helper and this website. The user-built SideTouchLegacy iPhone app is documented separately. Legacy Helper is cable-only and has no Current wireless, purchase or trial system.

How the product works
SideTouch sends your iPhone touch actions, gestures, event times and connection information to the Mac you select by cable or local Wi-Fi. Discovery and pairing also use local services, device names and public authentication identities, which may be visible on the local network. No SideTouch account, cloud relay, advertising or input-content analytics server is used. Authenticated Current wireless connections use TLS.
Information on your devices
Settings are stored in local preferences. Current private keys, pairing trust and cumulative trial records use the local Keychain; necessary pairing/trial state is synchronized only between your selected devices, not a SideTouch server. Private keys are not sent to the peer. Uninstalling may leave Keychain data; unpairing does not reset trials. Legacy Helper uses local USB device numbers and serial identifiers, without Current purchase, pairing or trial stores.
Permissions
The camera recognizes pairing QR codes on-device; photos and video are not recorded or uploaded. Local Network access finds and connects devices. Mac Accessibility enables your requested input; Helper also reads local shortcut configuration and checks input health. Permissions can be managed in system settings.
Purchases
Apple handles purchases and subscriptions. StoreKit verifies products and entitlements; necessary access state reaches your selected Mac Helper. The app does not receive payment-card details or Apple Account sign-in credentials. There is no developer-operated receipt-validation server.
Diagnostics
App and Helper connection/error diagnostics stay local unless you choose to share them. Test purchase diagnostics may be shared manually; no automatic diagnostic-upload service is provided. Apple system diagnostics follow Apple settings and policies. Do not send passwords, private keys or complete purchase credentials.
Website and downloads
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Hosting and download providers may process IP addresses, request times, browser information and requested URLs for delivery, operation and security. Cloudflare Web Analytics is disabled; the site has no advertising, analytics scripts or third-party fonts. If you follow a GitHub download link, GitHub processes that visit under its policy.

Retention
If you email support, we receive your address, message and attachments to answer and investigate your request and meet necessary obligations. Support emails and attachments are deleted within one year after the issue is resolved, except where necessary legal retention applies. Hosting/download service logs follow the respective providers’ retention policies and service settings.
Your choices
You can stop connections and manage permissions on your devices. Contact support for local data-removal guidance or to request deletion of information you sent us. The developer cannot remotely inspect or erase your local data through a SideTouch server. Apple manages App Store purchase records.
