Check that Helper is running and allowed under macOS Privacy & Security → Accessibility, then reconnect as the app instructs.

Final instructions will be published after the release package and update method are qualified.
When Reduce Motion is enabled in iPhone Settings → Accessibility → Motion, SideTouch shows static gesture illustrations. Turning it off restores preview animations. Trackpad controls and haptic feedback remain available.
Check Settings → Sounds & Haptics → System Haptics, and Accessibility → Touch → Vibration. Both need to be enabled. For trackpad use, also enable the relevant haptic options in SideTouch. On the Haptics page, touch and hold the text on the left to try a sample; the switches change settings.
